So, Café Rouge isn't exactly an underground secret - in fact, type in 'caf' into Google and it's the first thing to pop up. I just want to profess my undying love for this charming café. Delicious french cuisine, affordable prices, cute hand-painted decor, and with a Café Rouge restaurant close to most homes, what more could you ask for?! The service can be a little slow at times but if you have good company with you then that shouldn't matter. :)
My Favourites:
- RILETTES DE CANARD - Duck & smoked chicken coarse paté with French bread
- MERGUEZ - Spicy beef & lamb sausage with harissa mayonaisse
- CONFIT DE CANARD - Crispy duck confit with a plum sauce, French beans and creamy dauphinoise potatoes topped with Gruyere cheese
